Key DVA Care Programs We Support

Sia Support Services provides support across the two primary DVA in-home funding streams:

1. Veterans' Home Care (VHC) Program

The Veterans' Home Care program offers entry-level, practical support to assist you with day-to-day household activities and personal tasks. VHC is focused on maintaining your mobility, reducing safety risks around the home, and easing pressure on primary family carers.

2. DVA Community Nursing Program

The DVA Community Nursing program provides clinically necessary medical care and personal support delivered directly in your home by qualified Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and experienced support workers. This program supports veterans who require clinical monitoring, wound management, or complex ongoing care following a hospital stay or diagnosis.

Our Comprehensive In-Home Care Services

We tailor our support plans to suit your lifestyle, routines, and healthcare goals.

1. Domestic Assistance

Help with practical household chores including house cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishwashing, and bed linen changes to keep your living space safe and hygienic.

2. Personal Care Support

Respectful assistance with daily personal routines such as showering, bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance, preserving your dignity and independence every day.

3. In-Home Respite Care

Flexible temporary care options designed to give your primary family carer a well-deserved break, ensuring you remain safe and well cared for while your family member rests.

4. Community Nursing & Clinical Services

Professional in-home clinical care, including medication management, complex wound dressings, catheter/stoma management, chronic health monitoring, and post-hospital discharge support.

5. Safety & Home Maintenance

Minor home repairs and safety adjustments, such as replacing light bulbs, securing hazards, and installing safety fixtures, to minimise fall risks around the house.
